Motivational Radio is now into it’s fourth year of broadcasting. It all started with very small beginnings with any idea to create a platform where motivational speakers could reach many thousands of people all from one point.
However it has not been easy and has been fraught with a deluge of problems. From the simplest problems to almost insurmountable problems. Once we started broadcasting it was to 2 listeners, one was the presenter and the other our program manager. However we persevered with what we were doing because we believed with a passion we were on the right track.
As Motivational Radio started to grow we had to take on extra staff to cope with the growth we were seeing. However when you have a number of staff you have to learn to handle the bureaucracy that often takes place. Anyway to make a long story short our IT guy decide to thy and extort $14,500 from us, needless to say he is no longer with us. About this time the home of Motivational Radio was hit with a catastrophic Earthquake knocking out power, water, sewage and killing 183 people. (Christchurch New Zealand will never be the same) The station escaped the worst of it but was not able to continue broadcasting on a regular basis but cause the electric power was intermittent. This of course had a major effect on out already large listening audience, so much so that when Motivational Radio got back to regular broadcasts our audience was very depleted.
However this did not dampen the spirits of the station’s owner. The station start to build up again and started growing yet again. Then ill became a major concern for the own (pleased to say these are over now) and the station is once again enjoying phenomenal growth. With some very talented people being part of the station we can say we are here for the long haul and will reach the owns dream to be the biggest online radio station network.
